Dear Christian, Jesus Didn’t Die for You

By Editorial Staff

Dear Christian, Jesus Didn’t Die for YouMan is brought into this life for a big test; either to pursue an upright or aberrant way of life. Then, it is in the Hereafter that everyone will be held accountable for their actions.

Everyone will be either punished or rewarded for what he had done and no one will be punished or rewarded in place of another. This is the perfect fairness and justice. The Quran confirmed this principle as it reads,

Say, “Is it other than Allah I should desire as a lord while He is the Lord of all things? And every soul earns not [blame] except against itself, and no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. Then to your Lord is your return, and He will inform you concerning that over which you used to differ.” (Al-An`am 6:164)

So, Muslims believe that they will be compensated in the Hereafter everyone for their own deeds, without any discrimination whatsoever.

Even animals will be requited for their own actions on the Day of Judgment, to perfect the process of justice amongst all creatures.

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “Rights will be given to their due, such that the hornless sheep would get its claim from the horned sheep.” (At-Tirmidhi)

Therefore, it a clear fault to believe that someone can take the place of anyone else for their actions before God, the Creator. There will be neither injustice nor favoritism.

It is also a kind of mistake to believe that someone has sacrificed himself for others to bear their sins if they believe in him.

This is illogical and unfair.

Neither Jesus nor Muhammad nor anyone else can bear the retributions of anyone nor can anyone forgive others except God who is the All-Just. Yet, Jesus himself just as everyone else will be brought on the day of resurrection to stand for accountability each one for himself alone.
